Go Seamless with X-Cell

The touchscreen we all know, love, and cherish is not just a piece of glass protected by a layer of film or a case. No, touch technology, at least one version of it, is the LCD display we’re looking at, and on top of that is the digitizer that’s responding to zoom-ins, zoom-outs, swipes left and right, and taps.

The problem with this, in the ever-likely event of a drop-and-crack, is two components of the phone have to be repaired. X-Cell aims to fix that and offer kiosk operators something new to their customers.

So, How Does X-Cell Work?

X-Cell combines the LCD panel and the digitizer into a single piece. Ordinarily, the two pieces are fused together and connected with a digitizer flex cable. They are NOT OEM parts, NOR original refurbished parts.

What Are the Advantages of This?

Better Pricing Without Sacrificing Quality

First and foremost, X-Cell costs 40-50% of the price of a refurbished OEM (from the original manufacturer) screen. It’s a bargain that cannot be matched, without sacrificing quality when it comes to the display and response time.

Improved Touch Sensitivity

The response is immediate, since the touch is directly on the screen, without the separation of it from a digitizer. Mobile gamers will be able to reach higher scores in their games, and swiping through images is faster than before.

A Sharper Screen

The lack of separation also means the display is cleaner, brighter, and much more vibrant. Viewing pictures and watching movies and other videos will be much more enjoyable using X-Cell screens.

Less Problems

Customers are reporting that our X-Cell screens have a much lower defect rate, compared to aftermarket China copy competitors.

Aftermarket screens have more touch issues and slower response times. It’s frustrating to begrudgingly have to rapidly tap on a phone the same way some people slap the slide of a slow or frozen computer.

X-Cell screens have less barriers between your eyes and your content, compared to aftermarket LCDs, leading to increased visibility and more pleasant viewing.

We’re not discouraging you from buying an aftermarket screen. They are, after all, still a go-to solution, but we are encouraging you to keep your options open.

Why Choose X-Cell Over the Standard LCD Replacement?

X-Cell screens provide better resolution, compared to copy LCD screens.

X-Cell screens are less washed out because the image isn’t being filtered through multiple layers. It’s a pleasant surprise to not always need to squint, wear glasses, or zoom in just to use a phone.

However, if you must zoom in, take comfort in knowing that X-Cell screens put more control over your phone at your fingertips. Responses are carried out immediately and accurately.

Battery Saving

One issue that some of the copy LCD usually has is overheating then cost fast drop of battery. With X-Cell screen replacement, this issue appear significantly much less, and battery can usually last 20% longer under the same kind of usage circumstance.

Less Bugs

X-Cell screens have less issues than their LCD aftermarket counterparts, and less issues means less (if any) trips to a repair shop.

And Less Bulk

X-Cell reduces the thickness and size of the screen (again, without adding strain to the eyes) by cutting down on layers. This means closing the screen will be easier and smoother, creating less wear on the phone and preventing further damage.

Google vs. Apple: The Great Smartphone Debate

In this world, there are great oppositions: East Coast vs. West Coast. The Giants vs. the Jets. Chocolate vs. Vanilla.

And now we have Google Pixel vs. Apple iPhone. One comes from the largest, most commonly used search engine on the planet, and the other created the very first smartphone, a device that is used by 2.3 billion people around the globe.

Let’s examine the competition between the world’s largest technology giants.

Apple iPhone 7

The iPhone has been gracing this planet with its presence for almost a full decade, owning the smartphone world with over 1 billion sold throughout the entire globe. Apple recently released the iPhone 7, the latest and greatest of the series, with updated features like water resistance, headphone buds that no longer require an input jack, new color finishes, and an advanced home button that is more durable, responsive and pressure sensitive.

Google Pixel

The Pixel is Google’s first phone, with features similar to the iPhone, although it has no physical buttons on the front face of the device. It’s an ultra-fast smartphone that uses Android’s most updated operating system, Nougat. The display is much crisper than the iPhone with a 1440p resolution, allows for unlimited storage, and has a battery that lasts all day.

Apple vs. Google

If we’re being honest, the real comparison here isn’t between the phones themselves but rather the manufacturers. We all know that both the iPhone 7 and Google Pixel are outstanding devices that will satisfy all of your smartphone needs.

It’s been said that Apple isn’t as innovative in the technology space as it used to be, while Google continues to inspire. A recent article from CNBC claimed that Apple is only adapting their iPhone model rather than shocking us with any new technology. However, that may stem from the fact that they did create the first revolutionary smartphone. There is also the fact that Apple has a long line of iPad products including the Mini and the Air as well as their world famous Macbooks.

The Pixel is Google’s first foray into physical devices, as they’ve only been responsible for software and internet tech so far. The Android operating system is good but has always come in second to the Apple iOS. However, Google as a search engine far outweighs its competition, proving that their innovation team knows how to keep up.

What to Buy

For most users, this purchase will come down to comfort and aesthetic.

Many Apple users continue to purchase Apple products because of the eye-pleasing layouts and displays, as well as the familiarity in each updated device. While Google is a trusted company among the tech space, it can be hard for some to make the leap from something they know and understand, even if it’s lacking in innovation, to something new and fresh, even if it’s faster and better.

Right now, Google is on track to sell three million Pixel devices by the end of the year.

Heading into the holiday season, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will most certainly be on most people's wish list. The latest model is doing well in regards to sales and is more popular than most people thought it would be.

Though identical to the iPhone 6s in design, its performance has proven to be top notch and has seen much improvement. This is a fast device that can definitely perform and features an improved camera and longer-lasting battery life. At each and every Apple launch they run the gamut of features and benefits for customers. With that said, they iPhone 7 Plus has a little secret under the hood that customers might know about.

 The Secret Is Revealed

So what is this secret? We won't keep you in suspense. The iPhone 7 Plus features 3 GB of RAM. The iPhone 7, 6s, and 6s plus all feature 2 GB. This increase in performance hardware is most likely used to handle the requirements of the new telescoping camera. So does more RAM mean faster performance? Not necessarily.

Side by Side

Here 9-5 Mac does a side by side comparison of the two models to see if the 3GB really adds to speedier performance.

The Conclusion

Even though the iPhone 7 Plus does feature an extra GB of RAM, the general consensus is that this RAM has been applied strictly to the camera and should not really increase operating performance. With that said, the iPhone 7 Plus may see better results for multitasking while using the camera.

With the launch of the iPhone 7 in our rearview mirror, the entire industry is looking forward to the next Apple release, the iPhone 8. The internet is flooding with rumors and everywhere we turn a new one is popping up. Is it way too soon to tell what the smartphone will feature? Probably, but it's fun to speculate.

iPhone 8

Forget Aluminum and Glass, What About Ceramic?

The possibility of this happening, despite the rumors, is really slim. Based on patents obtained by Apple this is one of the more "out-of-the-box" rumors, but to actually do this is really complicated.

The real challenge here is it requires a kiln. Yes, an actual kiln. In order to mass-produce iPhones in the production capacity Apple does you would need a kiln the size of two football field. Additionally, it would require Apple to significantly increase the amount of CNC machines they use. So yeah...this is really far-fetched.

Under the Hood

This is a given. Apple will have to truly step it up with the next launch in regards to the technology and processsing. Let's just hope the phones don't become notorious for catching fire as a result.

Speed is king and we are expecting a much faster phone capable of handling advanced processing. It is also rumored that Apple is going to roll-out the long talked about OLED, which will make for a crisper display.

AI Upgrade

Apple is most certainly not leading the race for top AI assitant. With Google and Amazon both habitiating this space,  Apple needs to step it up and it is rumored that they may be renovating our pal SIRI. Will Apple be able to come from behind and achieve victory from the clutches of defeat? We certainly hope so.

We Still Believe

Apple was founded on hard work and innovation and even though nothing groundbreaking has been released with the iPhone 7, we believe the iPhone 8 will be a very special release and bring about a new direction for the company. Now we wait.
